Legal
Terms of Use
Effective: May 2026
Please read these terms carefully before using MeLetters.co.uk. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MeLetters.co.uk. They apply to all users of the site, whether or not you have created an account.
2. The Service
MeLetters.co.uk provides an AI-powered letter drafting tool. The service is free to use and is funded by advertising. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice, and accept no liability for doing so.
3. AI-Generated Content — Not Legal Advice
Letters generated by this service are produced by an artificial intelligence system and are intended as a drafting aid only. They do not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as such.
For legal matters of significance — including but not limited to litigation, contractual disputes, employment tribunals, or regulatory proceedings — you should consult a qualified solicitor or legal professional.
We accept no liability for any action taken or not taken based on letters generated through this service.
4. Your Responsibilities
By using MeLetters.co.uk, you agree to:
- Use the service only for lawful purposes.
- Not use the service to generate letters that are defamatory, harassing, fraudulent, threatening, or otherwise unlawful.
- Take full responsibility for the accuracy of the information you provide and for how you use the generated letters.
- Not attempt to circumvent any usage limits, rate limits, or security measures.
- Not use automated scripts, bots, or other means to bulk-generate letters.
5. Intellectual Property
The letters generated by MeLetters.co.uk, once produced, belong to you. You are free to use, edit, send, and adapt them as you see fit, for personal or commercial purposes.
Our website design, branding, source code, and all other original content on MeLetters.co.uk remain the intellectual property of MeLetters.co.uk and may not be reproduced without permission.
6. Fair Use
To ensure a quality service for all users, we apply a limit of 20 letter generations per user per day. We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access for accounts or IP addresses that we believe are abusing the service, in our sole discretion.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MeLetters.co.uk, its owners, and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service.
Since the service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed £0.
8. Third-Party Services
Our service relies on third-party providers including OpenAI, Clerk, and Supabase. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of those services. Their respective terms of service and privacy policies apply to their portion of the service.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “effective” date at the top will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
